About Us

Exterior view of the Elks Lodge with colorful buildings.

Visitors from over 130 Elks Lodges across the country have called Lodge #315 the friendliest stop on the map, and regulars here will tell you that reputation is earned one handshake at a time. Situated on Warwick Boulevard in the Denbigh community of Newport News, this lodge punches well above its size with a calendar packed full of events, a welcoming bar, and a membership that treats every newcomer like a returning friend.

The Christmas dinner on December 21 drew guests from across Hampton Roads and left them talking about the food, the desserts, and the company long after the plates were cleared. History buffs from Southern California have stopped in specifically to trace the lodge's charter story, and they leave just as impressed by the present as by the past. That blend of tradition and genuine warmth is what separates #315 from the average civic organization.

Elks Lodge #315 exists to serve its community and its members, from scholarship programs and Veterans outreach to simple Friday-night fellowship. If you have never walked through these doors, the only question worth asking is why you waited.

What We Offer

Lodge #315 offers a full slate of member benefits and community programs rooted in the four cardinal virtues of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks: Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love, and Fidelity. Members gain access to the lodge hall for private events, a comfortable bar and lounge, and a social calendar that runs year-round.

On the community side, the lodge funds youth scholarships, supports local Veterans through the ENF's Gratitude Grant program, and organizes seasonal dinners and holiday events that are open to members and their guests. The Denbigh Elks Lodge also hosts visiting Elks traveling through the Hampton Roads area, making it a natural stop for members exploring lodges nationwide.

Membership is open to American citizens 21 and older who believe in God. Prospective members can visit on any event night, meet the membership committee, and start an application. Dues are modest, the return is significant, and the friendships formed here tend to last a lifetime.

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
